Little Laps

for Kids' Village

Calling all families!

Be the Pride of Lichfield

Little Laps is the most magnificent, mischievous, fun run in the whole of Staffordshire. In fact, it's the funnest fun run you'll ever do.

It's all to raise money for the rather wonderful Kids' Village – a truly special place that helps children who are very, very ill feel magical for just a little while.

So, bring your lion cubs down to beautiful Stowe Pool on Saturday 19th September & join the pride for a gloriously silly time together – doing Little Laps for Kids' Village.

Why we're doing it

Making Magical Memories for Children with Critical Illnesses

Kids' Village are building the UK's first holiday respite village for critically ill children and their families — a place where for a wonderful moment, life can be magical again.

A joyful outdoor scene of four children playing with bubbles, smiling and leaning toward the camera in a sunlit natural setting.

Kids' Village are creating something special. Something we've never had in the UK before – a place to escape the daily challenges of life, especially built for critically ill children and their families. A place to enjoy nature, get some rest, have some fun and be spoiled rotten by the Kids' Village team.

The Little Laps Lowdown

Great question, glad you asked!

Here's everything you need to know about Little Laps.

Is it really free?

Yep, there's no registration fee. Just book a place for each of your children.

How much do we have to fundraise?

We know you'll probaby have to ask the same folks for sponsorship if you've got more than one child.

So, if you have one child doing Little Laps, we'd like you to raise £25 for Kids' Village.

If you have two or more children at Little Laps, we'd like you to raise £40 as a family.

How far is each lap?

Each Little Lap is just over 1.2 kilometres/0.75miles long.

That means if you do 4 of them, you've done just under 5km or a smidgen more than 3 miles.

Is there a minimum or maximum age?

Little Laps is for children aged 4 years old up to 11 years old. AKA perfect for primary school aged children.

Do children have to be run with an adult?

No. But, you know, families that run together, have fun together. Right?

Children between 4 & 6 definitely do need an adult with them while running. Children 7 & over can run independently without their parent or guardian running with them, but an adult must stay at the event camp.

Psst. We'd really encourage you to do Little Laps together :0)

Is there parking near by?

There is parking right next to the Little Laps field - the Lombard Street car park. It's a Saturday though, and it might be busy - but there's more parking in Bird Street less than 5 minutes walk from where we are.

On the day of Little Laps, both these car parks will cost £1 for an hour or £3.70 for 2 hours.
